Founded in 2022 by speech-language pathologists Jacklyn Marcello, Rachel Kass, and Dr. Kristen Bellom-Rohrbacher, Just Speechy, PLLC was created with one goal in mind: to provide individualized, engaging, and meaningful therapy that makes a difference beyond the therapy room

At Just Speechy, we believe communication skills are most powerful when they carry over into everyday life. Our approach combines developmentally appropriate, functional goals with personalized therapy designed around each client’s unique strengths and needs. We work closely with families, educators, and other professionals to promote consistency and meaningful progress across home, school, and community settings.

Above all, we strive to create a supportive and motivating environment where clients feel confident, connected, and excited to communicate. Because at Just Speechy, therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s personal, purposeful, and designed to help every client thrive!

Jacklyn Marcello, M.S., CCC-SLP-TSSLD

Co-Founder | Speech-Language Pathologist

Jacklyn Marcello is a co-founder of Just Speechy, PLLC and a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist specializing in social-pragmatic communication, receptive and expressive language, speech-sound disorders, and motor speech disorders.

Jacklyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Iona College and her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Mercy College. Her experience across educational, clinical, and private-practice settings has shaped her individualized and functional approach to therapy.

With a special interest in social communication and motor speech, Jacklyn has completed continuing education through Social Thinking®, is PROMPT Level 1 trained, and has completed training in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC). She is passionate about creating engaging therapy that builds on each child’s strengths while developing meaningful skills that carry over into everyday life.

Jacklyn values close collaboration with families, educators, and other professionals and strives to help every child become a more confident, connected, and successful communicator

Rachel Kass, M.A., CCC-SLP, TSSLD

Co-Founder | Speech-Language Pathologist

Rachel Kass is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist and co-founder of Just Speechy, PLLC and Westchester-Putnam TheraTeam. Rachel completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders at Iona College and received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University. Rachel specializes in working with the preschool and school-aged population. She is trained in Sounds In Motion, which focuses on a multi-sensory approach to phonological awareness, reading and articulation skills. Rachel has worked with a variety of clients presenting with difficulties with articulation, language skills, stuttering/fluency, literacy, feeding, and auditory comprehension. One of Rachel’s best qualities is her ability to motivate children, make therapy fun and develop new skills. Rachel is certified through the American Speech-Hearing Association, licensed through New York State and holds a teacher’s license for speech and language disabilities (TSSLD). She supervises graduate students and clinical fellows and gives trainings on language development, language disorders, and foundational literacy skills. Rachel also serves her community as an active member on the board of the Putnam County Business Council.

Dr. Kristen Bellom-Rohrbacher, ClinScD, CCC-SLP, TSSLD

Co-Founder | Speech-Language Pathologist

Kristen Bellom-Rohrbacher, co-founder of Just Speechy, PLLC., and Westchester-Putnam TheraTeam, is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist that specializes in feeding and swallowing disorders in both children and adults. She received her Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in communication disorders from Mercy College, her Masters of Science (M.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology from New York Medical College and her Doctorate of Clinical Science (ClinScD) in Speech-Language Pathology from Rocky Mountains University of Health Professions. She has completed research in the area of pediatric feeding disorders and in the P.R.O.M.P.T. technique. Kristen is a doctoral mentor for Rocky Mountains University of Health Professions for research projects all throughout the United States. She has been published in various journals for speech-language pathology. She has vast experience working with following disorders such as feeding/swallowing disorders, language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and Autism. Kristen is fluent in American Sign Language, is level 2 P.R.O.M.P.T. trained and is trained in the Sequential-Oral-Sensory Approach to Feeding. Kristen is a certified member of the American Speech-Hearing Association, licensed through New York State and holds a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).

Erin Schmidtt, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Erin Schmidtt is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist dedicated to helping children develop confident and functional communication skills. She has experience supporting children with a variety of speech, language, motor speech, and feeding needs.

Erin is PROMPT Level 1 trained and has experience utilizing Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) to support children with motor speech disorders, including childhood apraxia of speech. She has also completed specialized training in pediatric feeding disorders and the SOS Approach to Feeding, allowing her to support children with feeding challenges through a responsive, individualized approach.

Erin brings a warm, playful, and child-centered approach to therapy, tailoring each session to the individual needs and strengths of the child. She values collaboration with families and other professionals to promote meaningful progress and carryover of skills beyond the therapy setting.

Jocelyn, M.A., CCC-SLP/TSSLD

Speech-Language Pathologist

Jocelyn is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist who is passionate about helping children become confident and effective communicators. She earned her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Iona College and has experience supporting children with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs.

Jocelyn takes a warm, engaging, and individualized approach to therapy, creating sessions that build upon each child’s strengths while targeting meaningful, functional goals. She values collaboration with families and caregivers and strives to ensure that skills learned in therapy carry over into everyday interactions at home, school, and within the community.

As part of the Just Speechy team, Jocelyn is committed to creating a supportive environment where children feel successful, motivated, and excited to communicate.

Lisa Caparelli, M.S.Ed.

Special Education Teacher

Lisa Caparelli is an experienced Special Education Teacher and SEIT provider with over 30 years of experiencesupporting children with a wide range of developmental, learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Throughout her career, Lisa has worked collaboratively with families, educators, and related service professionals to help children build the foundational skills needed for success at school and beyond.

With additional training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Lisa incorporates evidence-based strategies to support learning, positive behavior, attention, independence, and successful participation within the classroom environment.

Lisa brings a warm, patient, and individualized approach to her work, recognizing each child’s unique strengths and learning style. She is passionate about helping children build confidence, independence, and the skills they need to thrive.
